Gratitude Sunday

G r a t i t u d e  *  S u n d a y
{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

This week I am joining Taryn at Wooly Moss Roots  to share some of the things that I have been grateful for this week.

I love the idea of gratitude, and think it is very important to remember the things that we are grateful for in our lives.  When I was young, and feeling down, my mother would always remind me to count my blessings.  After listing off the things I was grateful for I would always feel better.

I have had a wonderful week and have a lot to be grateful for, so here is my list.

  • This week we took a mid-week trip to the coast, I am always grateful to spend time with my family, and our two labs.
  • I am grateful for history- we explored old buildings and historical locations- it was interesting imagining what the places where like when they were originally in use.
  • I am grateful for the feeling of the ocean waves splashing on my legs and feet- so relaxing.
  • I am grateful for sharing good meals and fun movies with my family.
  • I am grateful for being silly with my family, it is so fun to laugh and play, and make fun memories together.
  • I am grateful for flavors- this week I enjoyed some good flavorful food- from the buckwheat pancakes I had for breakfast, to the molasses salt water taffy I found at the candy store.
  • I am thankful for all of the tall beautiful Douglas Fir Trees we saw on our way through the Coastal Range.
  • I am thankful for all the rain we have been having- my garden loves it!
  • I am thankful for my van "Penny" as we lovingly call her, she is a very comfortable and a good running vehicle.
  • I am grateful to come home after a vacation- even though I loved our vacation, and could live very happily at the beach, I am grateful to have a nice home, in a nice little town, with my garden growing, and my kitchen with everything I need to cook.
  • I am grateful for my wonderful hubby and my precious daughter and son- there is no one quite like family!
  • And I am always grateful for my faith in my wonderful savior Jesus.  I am grateful for one of my favorite verses- Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Gratitude lists always make me happy, I enjoyed thinking through my week. :)
