I was also a huge Star Wars fan. I wen to the original movie in 1977. I stood in line and saw it three times. It was such a phenomena. I remember the stores written up in the paper how no one could watch it just once! It was that good. It will forever have made an impression on me. I will have to do a post about how I ripped off my bed sheet and went as Princess Leia for Halloween, before there were any commercial Halloween costumes related to movies of the day. I'll have to be on the look out for some of things you have shown. Sounds like a fun time. Isn't it nice to be able to put summer behind us and look forward to meals like your hamburger pie?

May the force be with you!
Jane

Janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01851312702044308420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2059561141951442196.post-47294178170827776552015-09-13T03:09:57.287-07:002015-09-13T03:09:57.287-07:00I first saw Star Wars in February 1978 in Cardiff....I first saw Star Wars in February 1978 in Cardiff. I will never forget the absolute awe of the opening sequence. After that, I moved to Florida and it was regular Saturday night viewing at our local Drive~in. Two showings a night, with a 'Troy McClure' style B class movie in between {something with dreadfully animated dinosaurs!} and I sat through it all until I knew the script by heart. I don't want to know how many times I've watched A New Hope.
Your pie brings back memories of a chicken pie Mum would make when I was little, on a Monday, to stretch the Sunday roast that little bit further. She would use carrots, peas, and onions and mince the cooked leftover chicken in an old fashioned metal mincer.
